Oh, yes, I remember you. I have never understood how one justifies selling a digital PDF for $35….
You’ve been my sewing companion all day after the gods of the algorithm FINALLY got around to helping me find you! They’ve been so rude hiding you this way. After the first video, I immediately subbed and searched out a playlist ❤
Modern modesty requirrments are barbaric
I've seen quite a few places theorising that those elaborate dresses were made of leather, goat leather which is very soft and fine (if processed properly) - hence the intricate sewing patterns, but I'm not at all an expert!
Eye didn't see those eye jokes coming
BRAND NEW SCHOOL; learn it all... Professionals are Respected _Have Confidence in your own hard work ( I think you did a great job on this and i would love to wear one) I really mean that ✨✨🎃
Lovely video. Somehow the color came out quite nice .
Hermosas! Me gustó el modelo de vestido gracias por mostrar cómo hacerlo
I have to admit that pinner aprons are not my preferred ones, but this outfit is simply beautiful, and you wear it so well. You look pretty and féminine. In my case, although I am a man, I like wearing cross-back aprons.
I heard the flowers had to be picked at a crossroads. Is that true?
Craziness
Crazy
To build on the tradition the next morning you could gift the flowers to the person in your dream or whoever you would like to marry. Even if you’re already in a relationship you could take part and give your partner the flowers in the morning when you wake up as a token of your love.
So you're saying King T was fat?
Seems like a fun tradition. I'm a little distracted by your fabulous outfit though 😅 Dressing to impress the future love definitely can't hurt.
No, you can't use it for any sex. Boys don't dream of their future wife, they dream football, adventures, maaany girlfriends... they start dreming future wife from the age of 26 and some even later 😂
What about the little boys dreaming about their future husbands?
What about watching the entire video?
@@jessl1177Oh I didn't catch that last sentence. What if you're non-binary?
As an older queer person i promise you leaving these comments will not help anyone and will only make your own day worse arguing with people who will never agree with you
I'm agender and I have done this. It doesn't matter whether you are cis, trans, enby or gender non-conforming
The tunics and kilts look great! Keep making them! Maybe we can have a fashion revisitation!
This is the most intense bgm I've ever heard on a sewing tutorial 😂
Any tips on how you made the shoulder gussets work out? I understand most of the concept but haven't been able to figure out how to turn the corner, and am having difficulty finding online resources (most info on gussets assumes you're working a gusset into seams, not into a slit piece of fabric).
Amazing video! Definitely one of the better tutorials out there. A little addition from my own experience (and from other videos I've seen): I find it easiest to attach the waistband by sandwiching it and the pleats together in one hand (instead of holding the waistband above the pleats like you did here), that way I can work way faster and get neater, less visible stitches. Cartridge pleating has honestly become one of my absolute favorite "wind-down" activities and my favorite sewing activity, period. It's such a beautifully meditative and _satisfying_ process (just look at these neatly stacked rows!), especially the part where I lovingly attach each pleat to the waistband. I've made circle skirts before and I love that fit too, but every time I try to plan another sewing project like a top, circle skirt or something else entirely, I just end up making another cartridge pleated skirt, lol. Gathering is nice enough and especially fast, but it just doesn't hit that spot quite like cartridge pleating lol. I added some simple smocking embroidery to the pleats of my latest skirt - not just for looks but also so the pleats stay neatly in place through use and washes - and it's my favorite thing I've ever made. I've gotten so many compliments on it already asking if it was a traditional folk skirt, and it gives me the happy chemicals every time I say "thanks, I made it myself!" I think I may have been possessed by the spirit of a victorian smock-maker lmao.
what hotel is that
Yes. Please! I would love a pattern for this hood! My husband is going to be a jester for the medieval festival and I need help hahaha
Bonus points for some simple instructions for complete beginners that maybe doesn’t include making lining haha 🙈
Stumbled across this video and love all of the information and examples you presented! Also, I will be honest and say some of the comments on here made me mad, so I want to leave a friendly reminder that you are lovely however you decide to appear/present yourself 🩵
I think anybody who is a prepper would benefit from this video. Hopefully UA-cam will send this to the prepper. Thanks for your tutorials.
Hejsan svejsan och bra video.

Omg I need it!!!

Oh wow, that purple is so bright it comes across almost blue on video!
Take your hands out of the pockets. If you are going to make a replica gown, don’t add pockets. What is so important that you need to carry any where?
Hi! You are welcome to make your skirt without pockets if you prefer! It's actually even easier, as you can skip the slits and simply sew the side seams all the way up. Depending on what gown you want to replicate, you may or may not need pockets!
Super cool! I do want to gently remind you that our ancestors didn’t dye fabric yet in the Bronze Age. I really like your outfit! But with the blue skirt and green sprang this would be Iron Age.
Thanks, it was really fun to make, and I love adding color! Given that scholarly research including chemical analyses have found evidence of dyes in textile fragments from the bronze age, I am curious what evidence you have to refute the studies.
I bought a ribbed tank top for my sister in laws birthday and it has a cow skull and rose pattern on it and i want to stone the roses. Any tips
I thought she would put on like 30 more layers 😅
I've always been fascinated by Scythian culture ❤ In Ukraine we still have numerous Scythian stelae. Lots of Scythian golden jewelry was also found there: like the comb you showed from Solokha kurgan or the famous Golden Pectoral from Tovsta Mohyla (I mean, the full title of that book by Ellen Reeder is "Scythian Gold: Treasures from Ancient Ukraine")
That is so cool! I would love to see some of that in person one day!
😂
Beautiful and magical
Thank you!!
Very pretty 😀
Tell me you have tutorials!
If you have to do everything from harvesting the plants, extracting the fibres, making your yarn, waving the fabric and sewing the garment, you become really, really efficient with your cuts!
Indeed!
Oh no don't tell me you didn't make tutorial 😢 (I love the dress)
Amazing! Is this some kind of pricate party, or an organized event anyone can go to if they wish?
Fabulous. Where did you get those gorgeous wings from?
I love your outfits! I love the Hobbitcore style but I prefer to wear black, gray, and jewel tones and it's so hard to find inspiration outfits that aren't shades of green, brown, and cream (like Rachel Maksy lol).
You are a wonderful dressmaker, model, and presenter. This is a great video for re-enactors who want to get started in this hobby/passion. Music is a nice touch.
hmmm very interesting clothes. I know that our Arian ancesstors, wore tall hat looked like wizards hats. We know that for exemples from tocharian mummies.
I absolutely love this! I have a couple of authentic Norwegian-made bunads - and yours looks amazingly similar!! Great job!
What is the size if the rectangular
Thank I see it was a struggle. I was trying to figure out how to hang one on my door for my jewelry. I use cords with the hooks. I appreciate you 🤗 anyway. I thought I was the only one thinking about this one.
